Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute power infrastructure strategies, including utility-scale generation, transmission, substations, and behind-the-meter energy solutions, to support long-term business growth and operational requirements.
- Lead commercial negotiations and execution of power-related agreements, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), interconnection agreements, utility service agreements, and other critical energy contracts with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and corporate counterparties.
- Direct project financial planning activities, including business case development, investment analysis, project finance modeling, capital structuring, and presentations to executive leadership, investors, and financing partners.
- Manage utility and regulatory engagement efforts, serving as the primary liaison with investor-owned utilities, transmission providers, regulatory agencies, and permitting authorities to secure project approvals and reliable grid access.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in power generation, utility infrastructure, energy development, or independent power producer (IPP) environments.
- Demonstrated success negotiating and closing complex energy transactions, including PPAs, interconnection agreements, utility contracts, and project finance structures.
- Deep understanding of U.S. utility markets, transmission and interconnection processes, regulatory frameworks, and wholesale power market dynamics.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, engage senior utility and regulatory stakeholders, and secure capital for large-scale energy infrastructure investments.
