The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly motivated and customer-oriented Inside Sales Lead to join our Commercial Organization.
In this key leadership role, you will lead a team of approximately 10 Sales Administration professionals, ensuring operational excellence across order management, customer service, export activities, and commercial support processes.
You will act as the primary interface between the Sales Department, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, and Operations, helping to drive customer satisfaction, business growth, and efficient order fulfillment.
The role also includes direct responsibility for managing relationships with selected strategic customers and supporting key commercial initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10 Sales Administration professionals located across multiple Italian sites.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.

Monitor workload, performance, and development plans to ensure effective team execution.
Customer Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for selected strategic customers and key accounts.

Build strong customer relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction and responsiveness.

Support customer escalations and coordinate timely resolution of complex issues.
Commercial Operations

Oversee the complete order-to-delivery process for external and intercompany customers.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer orders, quotations, shipping documentation, and commercial records.

Support Sales Account Managers, distributors, and direct customers throughout the commercial lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Coordination

Act as the key liaison between Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Production Planning, Logistics, and Finance.

Coordinate product availability, delivery schedules, and customer priorities to ensure business commitments are met.

Support Sales and Operations Planning activities through effective communication and execution.
Export & Compliance

Oversee export activities, international shipments, customs documentation, and licensing requirements.

Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, export controls, and applicable legal requirements.

Manage activities related to defense and controlled products where applicable.
Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve customer service, order management, and commercial processes.

Develop and monitor KPIs related to order fulfillment, customer satisfaction, service levels, and operational efficiency.

Drive process standardization and best practices across locations.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales Administration, Customer Service, Commercial Operations, or Order Management.

Previous experience leading teams in a multinational manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills

Strong understanding of commercial processes, order management, and customer service operations.

Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

Advanced Microsoft Office skills.

Strong understanding of export documentation and international trade processes.

Fluent Italian and English.

Pay Transparency & Compensation Information
Job Level / Grade: Level 48 – 1st Level, TERZIARIO National Collective Agreement (CCNL)
Salary Range (Annual Gross): €55,000 – €60,000
(The salary range is defined in accordance with market benchmarks, internal equity, and individual experience.)
Variable Component: Profit-sharing scheme, in line with company performance and applicable agreements
