Join our client’s international team in
Rome (Anagnina Area), supporting the
FLEX mission’s Core Ground Segment within a major European space programme.
We are looking for a
Ground Segment Monitoring Technician with
2–3 years of experience in systems or service monitoring. You will support monitoring activities within the
Ground Segment systems, detect issues, and ensure smooth data flow and operations.
For this role,
relocation to Rome is mandatory for candidates living far from the area.
A
B2 level of English is required due to daily interactions with
ESA teams and
international stakeholders.
- Monitor Ground Segment systems and services
- Detect, analyze and respond to system alarms and anomalies
- Check system performance (data flow, completeness, latency)
- Support investigation of incidents and escalate when needed
- Maintain operational logs and contribute to incident reporting
- Produce regular operational reports (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Collaborate with service management and engineering teams to ensure smooth operations
- Liaise with ESA and Ground Segment partners when operational issues arise
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in systems monitoring or service monitoring
- Experience working in operational IT environments
- Understanding of monitoring tools and operational workflows
- Ability to analyze issues and troubleshoot
- Good knowledge of Linux
- Basic shell scripting knowledge
- Good English communication skills

- Experience in Earth Observation or Ground Segment environments
