Research position in Precision Immuno-Oncology (fellow)
The Precision Immuno-Oncology Laboratory is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled young research fellow.
The candidate will contribute to a 5-year research project aimed at developing a personalized, pan-cancer platform for adoptive T cell therapy in solid tumors, with the goal of advancing precision immunotherapy toward clinical translation.
The position is structured as an integrated 5-year career path: a pre-doctoral year focused on laboratory integration and technical training, whit the opportunities by enrollment in a PhD program and a final post-doctoral year dedicated to translational development and dissemination of results.
Main responsibilities
- processing and handling of patient-derived biological samples according to established protocols
- generation and maintenance of primary cell cultures, including patient-derived immune cells and organoids
- design and execution of functional assays to assess immune cell activity and specificity
- application of molecular biology and cell engineering techniques within the project workflow
- contributing to the optimization and troubleshooting of experimental protocols
- accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results
- updating and maintaining databases of patient samples and reagents
- providing general support for laboratory operations within the scope of the project
Profile
- Master's degree in molecular biology, biotechnology, biomedicine, or a related discipline
- hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques (including viral vector production or transduction of mammalian cells) and in basic cell biology, is essential is essential
- knowledge of basic immunology is highly desirable
- experience with flow cytometry is a plus
- once trained, ability to work independently and take ownership of experimental tasks
- organized and detail-oriented; ability to maintain accurate and rigorous documentation
- collaborative mindset; ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- genuine interest in translational cancer research
- fluency in English (working language of the laboratory)
