We are looking for a motivated PLC Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and commissioning of industrial automation projects.
Location
This position is based onsite at our office in Inverigo (CO), Italy.
Applicants must be able and willing to work onsite. Remote-only applications will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain PLC software for industrial automation systems.
- Configure and commission Siemens PLCs, drives, and industrial networks.
- Design and implement machine control logic, safety functions, and process automation solutions.
- Support integration with SCADA, MES, HMI, vision systems, and other industrial technologies.
- Perform onsite commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and customer support.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams throughout project execution.
- Prepare technical documentation and participate in customer meetings when required.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Experience with industrial PLC programming.
- Knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal and Siemens S7 PLC platforms.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, or similar.
- Ability to troubleshoot industrial automation systems.
- Good communication skills and willingness to work directly with customers.
- Fluent Italian and professional English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Siemens drives and motion control systems.
- Knowledge of SCADA or MES platforms.
- Familiarity with industrial networking and cybersecurity concepts.
- Experience in manufacturing environments.
- Previous commissioning experience.
