Leaf Space is looking for a Ground Station Systems Engineer to join our Global Infrastructure team and support the technical operations of our worldwide ground station network.
In this role, you will ensure the reliability, performance and operational readiness of our antenna infrastructure by supporting troubleshooting, maintenance, commissioning and new site deployments. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, AIT and external partners, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our global ground segment while helping deliver reliable satellite communications services to customers worldwide.
This position combines hands-on engineering, site operations and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-growing international space company.
Troubleshoot antenna and ground station issues, coordinating with service providers, on-site teams and equipment manufacturers.
Develop and execute troubleshooting and validation procedures for antenna and ground station systems.
Support maintenance planning and corrective actions to maximise ground station availability.
Participate in technical investigations and root cause analysis.
Prepare technical documentation, operational reports and engineering recommendations.
Act as the technical point of contact for operational issues affecting active sites.
Coordinate maintenance activities with site hosts and infrastructure providers.
Monitor infrastructure status, availability and operational performance.
Maintain accurate documentation of site configurations and infrastructure assets.
Support new ground station deployments and commissioning activities worldwide.
Participate in site surveys and RF assessments.
Coordinate installation readiness together with Operations and AIT teams.
Support antenna dismantling and equipment recovery activities.
Analyse site performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
Support reliability and infrastructure hardening initiatives.
Contribute to engineering best practices and operational procedures.
Support internal projects related to network expansion and infrastructure optimisation.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
Experience within the space industry is considered an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
