About the Role
The resource will ensure accurate management of general accounting, indirect tax compliance, and statutory reporting for assigned Group entities, ensuring compliance with regulations, Group policies, and closing deadlines.
The role also supports process standardization and efficiency initiatives within the Accounting & Tax CoE.
Main responsibilities will be:
- Manage the general ledger for one or more Group companies, including accruals, provisions, depreciation, closing entries, and complex balance sheet/P&L reconciliations;
- Ensure timely monthly closings, monitor outstanding and temporary accounts, and prepare F24 tax payments;
- Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and disclosures, ensuring compliance with accounting, audit, and regulatory requirements;
- Maintain statutory accounting records and provide documentation for internal and external audits;
- Manage VAT compliance activities, including VAT settlements, registers, LIPE reporting, annual VAT returns, and VAT refund claims;
- Ensure correct VAT treatment of domestic and international transactions and support tax audits and specific tax matters;
- Support accounting, reconciliation, and compliance activities for foreign branches and permanent establishments;
- Coordinate with local advisors and manage intercompany and head office-branch relationships;
- Contribute to process standardization, digitalization, and automation initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA projects;
- Support the definition of CoE procedures, controls, KPIs, and operational efficiency improvements.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field;
- Knowledge of periodic tax compliance requirements, including LIPE, VAT Returns, and F24 tax payments.
- Knowledge of Italian GAAP (OIC accounting standards); IFRS knowledge is considered a plus.
- 5-8 years of experience in general accounting within structured or multinational organizations;
- Experience managing multiple legal entities simultaneously;
- Proven experience in the preparation of statutory financial statements and management of periodic tax compliance obligations;
- Experience with foreign branches or permanent establishments is considered an advantage;
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA will be considered a plus;
- Fluency in English (both oral and written).
Our Offer
Compensation for this role includes a base salary starting from EUR 45.000, in line with experience. The actual offer may exceed this minimum based on the candidate's qualifications and fit for the role.
A range of additional benefits (e.g., insurances, etc.) is also available in accordance with Company policy.
The applicable collective agreement is the CCNL Metalmeccanico.
