A Production Operator (Operatore di Produzione) is responsible for operating machinery, assembling products, monitoring production processes, and ensuring that manufacturing operations run safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role is essential in factories producing goods such as food, automotive parts, electronics, pharmaceuticals, packaging, and consumer products.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment.
- Assemble, package, label, or inspect products according to specifications.
- Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet company standards.
- Set up machines and make minor adjustments during production.
- Report equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow health, safety, and company operating procedures.
- Record production data, material usage, and completed work accurately.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets.
- Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an advantage but not always required.
- Ability to operate machinery after appropriate training.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, or overtime when required.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
