We are seeking a reliable and professional Independent Delivery Driver with own van to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting pharmaceutical goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation.
Drivers will mostly be delivering to major cities including Rome, Milan , Naples, Turin , Florence, Venice, Bologna , Genoa, Verona and Palermo
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload goods, often involving heavy lifting, with care and attention to detail
- Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and timeliness
- Ensure accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the vehicle
- Assist in warehouse activities when required, including stock organisation and inventory checks
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within logistics or warehouse environments
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving, with a clean driving record
- Experience operating small to large vans
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
- Familiarity with route planning software or GPS devices is advantageous
