The Level Group operates the direct-to-consumer business, ecommerce and physical retail, for a portfolio of luxury brands, running their online stores and monobrand retail networks across Europe and the US.
We are looking for a Retail Allocator to own the distribution of product across our retail network: a focused set of flagship and directly operated stores, department store shop-in-shops, and outlets across EU and US.
Working from the volumes set by planning and the assortment defined by buying, you will decide how product is allocated, replenished, and rebalanced across stores to maximize sell-through and availability while protecting full-price sales. The role starts on one brand and may extend to others in the group's portfolio.
You will report to the Head of Buying Merchandising and sit on the buying and merchandising side, with the Retail Manager as your day-to-day counterpart on store execution.
What you'll do:
Own initial allocation of incoming deliveries across stores and clusters, translating available stock into store-level distribution that reflects demand, store profile, and size and model curves.
Manage in-season replenishment and rebalancing, moving product across the network to match real demand, clear slow points, and protect availability on key lines.
Manage size and model curves at store level, ensuring each door carries the right depth and breadth for its profile, not a flat split across the network.
React to sell-through, stock coverage, and rotation on a weekly basis, turning performance signals into concrete allocation and transfer decisions.
Reason by store format, not flat across the network: flagship and directly operated stores, department store and shop-in-shop, and outlet each get differentiated allocation logic and coverage targets.
Optimize stock availability by minimizing overstock, stock-outs, and distribution inefficiencies, prioritizing scarce product where it sells best and protects full-price positioning.
Manage end-of-season and outlet flow, channeling residual and aged stock through the right formats, in line with brand and licensor rules.
Work against the supply calendar, holding allocation and replenishment plans against real delivery windows and stock on hand.
Partner with Planning on volumes and with Buying and Merchandising on assortment, feeding store-level distribution insight back upstream.
What we're looking for:
3 to 5 years in retail allocation, merchandise planning, or distribution, ideally in fashion or luxury, with clear ownership of allocation and replenishment in a previous role.
Strong command of the allocation cycle: initial allocation, replenishment, rebalancing, size and model management, and in-season sell-through reaction.
The judgment to allocate scarce product under competing store priorities, and to defend those decisions with data.
Strong analytical mindset, comfortable turning sell-through and stock data into distribution decisions at store and size level.
Advanced Excel. Power BI (or a comparable BI tool) is a concrete plus, since retail reporting here runs on it.
Ability to allocate by store cluster and against real stock and supplier windows, not generic benchmarks.
Organized and detail-driven, able to manage several formats and markets in parallel without losing store-level precision.
Clear communicator across Buying, Planning, Retail, and Operations.
Fluent English. Italian is an advantage given the Milan base.
Nice to have:
Experience allocating across both EU and US, including the practicalities of different markets and stock pools.
Familiarity with outlet and off-price flow management.
Exposure to allocation or replenishment tools beyond spreadsheets.
Experience across more than one brand or retail network.
Python or pandas for analysis
What we offer:
Compensation package up to €40,000 gross annual salary - depending on background and experiences - plus meal vouchers.
Learning Development Programs: continuous learning experiences with TLG University and other projects.
Be part of a young (31 on average) and international (+30 nationalities) group and work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
At The Level Group, we believe diverse perspectives and experiences make stronger teams. We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds, nationalities, identities, and abilities. If you require any accommodation during the interview process, please let us know and we will be happy to support you.
