Job Requirements
Purpose of the Role
The IT Manager for Italy serves as the point of contact for all IT activities and requests within the country. The role is based in Segrate (Segreen Park) and supports also the production plant in Latina.
He or she ensures the proper functioning of local IT systems, guarantees compliance with Italian IT regulations, and maintains a high level of collaboration with international IT teams (Network, Server, Workplace Management, Software, Procurement), acting as an interface between the local Business, Production, Administration departments and Global IT.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the single point of contact for IT across all of the company’s Italian locations for issues, requests, incidents, and IT changes.
Manage and coordinate local IT support activities (hardware, software, network, workplace) to ensure operational continuity for users.
Collaborate daily with international IT teams (Network, Server, Workplace Management, Applications, Procurement) to implement projects, resolve complex issues, and ensure alignment with global standards.
Ensure that the local IT infrastructure aligns with global policies and corporate best practices.
Ensure compliance with Italian IT regulations and legal obligations (e.g., privacy and data protection, cybersecurity, NIS2, data retention, industry-specific regulations, software licenses).
Monitor and manage local IT vendors in accordance with global guidelines (contracts, SLAs, service quality, costs). Control the budget and procurement process of IT services that need to be locally provided or paid for.
Support the implementation of new IT systems, applications, and tools at Italian locations, overseeing basic training and user adoption.
Maintain effective communication with local and international management, providing updates on system status, significant incidents, projects, and risks.
Promote a culture of collaboration and service toward Italian and international colleagues, ensuring availability, attentiveness, and support.
Identify and propose improvements to local IT processes to increase efficiency, security, and service quality.
Install, configure, and test hardware, software, and other technical systems (e.g. laptops, desktops) on-site for users. Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues related to equipment, systems or software onsite.
Managing the entire PC leasing lifecycle for PC’s.
Maintain an accurate device inventory and keep the CMDB up to date at all times for local CIs.
Maintain tidy and organized IT rooms, server rooms and storage areas.
Work Experience
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure: networks, servers, Microsoft environments, workstations (desktops, laptops, mobile devices), business applications, SAP.
Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and data protection best practices.
Basic knowledge of relevant Italian IT regulations (privacy, data protection, NIS2, compliance, software licensing, etc.).
Experience managing IT vendors (contracts, SLAs, escalations).
Knowledge of ServiceNow is a plus
