About the Role
In our Headquarters in Bologna, we are seeking a seasoned professional to join G.D Project Management Team.
The successful candidate will report directly to the project management manager and will be responsible for the following activities:
- Apply and ensure the application of Company Project Management Framework (including Methodology, Policy, Process, Tools) and Project Governance Model
- Review the consistency of the Project Scope, Time and Cost constraints of the original Business Case or Customer Order/Contract
- Identify and engage Project Stakeholders (including the Customer ones when present)
- Represent the direct “point of contact” with Customers during the Project Execution phase and work to increase the Customer Satisfaction in accordance with Company business objectives
- Ensure a good Project Start by means of an effective handover from the “Pre-order” to the “Execution” phase
- Coordinate and ensure the creation of the Overall Project Plan, involving all the Project Management Team composed by the Functional Project Leaders assigned to the Project by the involved Functions
- Obtain the approval of an official Project Plan (Baseline) against which the Project Performance is measured
- Ensure that the Overall Project Plan is understood and respected by the Project Team and Project Stakeholders
- Ensure that the Project is executed and the Project Objectives are achieved respecting all the Project constraints (Budget, Time, Scope, Quality)
- Coordinate key project communications and ensure the creation and archiving of all the necessary Project Documentation
- Manage regular Project Performance review activities, identifying possible variances in scope, quality, time, cost and defining corrective and preventive actions with the support and involvement of the Project Management Team and other Project Stakeholders
- Identify and manage Project Changes in compliance with Governance and escalation rules
- Address and solve issues and remove impediments which are blocking the Project
- Support Project Stakeholders in the decision-making in case of issues or change requests
- Organize and lead Project Performance Review meetings
- Ensure regular, consistent, accurate Project Performance Reporting
- Lead Gate and Milestone reviews
- Lead the Project Team and ensure actual day by day collaboration
- Identify possible gaps in the competences and skills of resources assigned to the Project Team and escalate to obtain they are resolved
- Schedule and lead Project Team meetings with adequate frequency (weekly recommended)
- Ensure the creation and utilization of Lessons Learned during the Project Execution
- Identify and respond to Project Risks
What You Need to Be Successful
- Master's Degree in Management / Mechanical / Elctronics Engineering or similar: We are a highly technological Company, and you will daily interact with engineering-related issues and querying.
- At least 5 years experience in project management within industrial environments and well-structured matrix organizations
- Proficient knowledge of Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent knowledge of the English Language: You feel at ease writing, speaking, and reading
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- Flexible aptitude and ability to work well in groups: You feel challenged by ambiguity and are keen on interacting with multiple stakeholders.
- Prior experience in managing multicultural teams with different backgrounds
