As an EHS Officer, you will be part of the Electrification and Automation area, driving and supporting the implementation of the Business Unit's EHS strategy across projects and operations, ensuring the effective integration of EHS requirements into everyday business activities.
Combining strategic vision with a strong field presence, you will promote a proactive safety culture, provide guidance to operational teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of EHS performance across the Business Unit.
- Driving the implementation of the Business Unit's EHS strategy, policies, standards, and sustainability objectives through a prevention-driven and continuous improvement approach.
- Acting as the trusted EHS partner for Business Unit management, supporting the integration of EHS requirements into business decisions and operational activities.
- Collaborating with Business Unit management, Project Managers, EHS and other corporate functions to develop and improve EHS processes, while ensuring effective risk management throughout project execution and operational activities.
- Ensuring the effective implementation of EHS standards across projects and operations through robust documentation management, audits, inspections, site reviews, performance monitoring, and the timely closure of corrective actions.
- Leading and coordinating the investigation of incidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, and near-miss events, identifying root causes, monitoring performance trends, and promoting initiatives aimed at continuously improving EHS performance.
- Managing EHS aspects related to contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, including qualification processes, onboarding activities, documentation reviews, audits, and performance monitoring, ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the management of environmental aspects within the Business Unit, ensuring compliance with applicable environmental regulations and company requirements, including waste management, Substance of Concern (SOC) management, and related environmental obligations.
- Promoting a strong safety culture through visible leadership, coaching, inductions, toolbox talks, training programs, communication campaigns, and engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening competencies, accountability, and safe behaviors across all organizational levels.
Core Requirements
- At least 7 years’ experience in managing EHS activities within industrial, engineering, infrastructure, construction, or project-based environments.
- Advanced knowledge of EHS requirements according to Italian legislation (Legislative Decree 81/08 and Environmental regulations).
- ASPP qualification according to applicable legislation.
- Good knowledge of construction site activities and contractor management processes.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proven capability to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to operational EHS activities.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Availability to travel across Italy.

The pay range for this position is €63,000–€85,000 annually. The actual offer will be determined within this range, based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
