Job Description
The Sales Coordinator / Customer Service Representative in our Chemical business supports existing business, acts as the main link between customers and suppliers, and manages sales orders, delivery schedules, invoicing, credit limits, and payment follow-up. The role ensures timely and accurate information on sales transactions, supports the sales team with order entry and sales development activities, and reports to the Commercial Manager in charge of the local business.
The position requires the candidate to be able to:
- Act as the main contact between customers, suppliers, and contract manufacturers, ensuring timely and accurate transaction information.
- Enter and monitor purchase, sales, and related data in the local IT system from order entry to completion.
- Handle phone inquiries professionally and support Product Managers with inventory monitoring.
- Resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
- Support payment collection, credit limit control, and payment recovery when needed.
- Coordinate with logistics providers and accounting to ensure efficient processes.
- Share market insights and sales opportunities gathered through customer contact.
- Support the sales team with related tasks and business development activities.
- Manage inventory and logistics from suppliers´ plants to customers.
- Handle related administration, paperwork, filing, and main phone coverage.
- Provide back-up customer service support and assist with other assigned projects.
Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, international sales, export, or a related field, with 5–10 years of relevant B2B experience.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with strong communication, follow-up, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented, with a professional phone manner and strong MS Office skills; ERP experience, such as IFS, is a plus.
Fluent Italian and English are required; Spanish or French is a strong asset.
The position is based in our Milano office but may require very occasional domestic and international travels. Part-time home office work is possible. All genders are welcome.
