ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our data scraping infrastructure, helping to maintain and extend the ecosystem that powers Wonderflow's global data collection — from searching and crawling to parsing and processing.
You will collaborate on solutions for performance-critical challenges like parallelism and scalability, build and maintain our monitoring and observability systems, and provide technical leadership to the team. You'll be a reference point for architectural decisions and a technical mentor your teammates can rely on.
You will also be involved in:
- Maintaining and extending our web scraping pipeline and automation systems
- Improving observability and monitoring systems to keep our data collection healthy
- Technical mentoring and code reviews that elevate team quality
- Account management tooling and operational infrastructure
- Shaping decisions on how to build systems that enable the team to move faster and smarter

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
- Significant experience building and scaling web applications and data systems in production
- Strong proficiency with Node.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Proven experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB)
- Track record of designing and owning complex systems end-to-end
- Experience building APIs, monitoring systems, and operational tooling
- Comfort with both full-stack development and infrastructure thinking
- Track record of mentoring junior engineers and improving code quality through technical leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex distributed issues
- Clear communication and the ability to explain technical decisions to the team
DESIRABLE
- Understanding of and experience with web scraping and its related challenges
- Experience with network and proxy management
- Familiarity with browser automation tools (Puppeteer or similar)
