As our operations expand, we are looking for a Launch Operations Technician to join our Operations team. This is a unique opportunity to join a pioneering sector and contribute directly to the development of innovative technologies for accessing and utilizing the stratosphere.
The selected candidate will take part in mission preparation activities, as well as the launch and recovery operations of stratospheric systems, working in close collaboration with the engineering and mission operations teams.
Key responsabilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team on mission preparation tasks, supporting simulations, planning, and flight forecasting;
- Participate in test campaigns and commercial missions, contributing to field operations;
- Collaborate with the launch team in the preparation, deployment, and release operations of stratospheric balloons;
- Execute recovery activities for the balloon and gondola at the end of missions, ensuring proper handling and preparation for subsequent uses;
- Support the logistics and operational activities necessary for the smooth execution of flight campaigns;
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures and safety standards.
Must have:
- Technical diploma in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or equivalent fields;
- At least 1 year of experience in operational activities, preferably in the aerospace sector or similar technological environments;
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to dynamic and constantly evolving contexts;
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
- Good physical fitness and willingness to perform operational field activities, including recovery operations;
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally for launch campaigns.
Nice to have:
- Interest in the space and scientific exploration sector;
- Experience in operational or logistics activities;
- Familiarity with the use of technical instrumentation and electronic equipment;
- Category B driving license and availability for national and international travel;
- Ability to operate in dynamic environments and work following procedures and checklists;
- Basic knowledge of the English language;
- Aptitude for teamwork and managing field activities;
- Experience with drones, modeling, amateur radio, hobby electronics, or outdoor activities (hiking, camping, civil protection, etc.).
