Position Overview
We are looking for a Product Development Assistant to join the Watches & Jewelry department at our Scandicci (Florence) headquarters in Italy. The role will support the Jewelry Product Development Manager across all product development activities, from prototyping through to quality control, working closely with designers, product managers, suppliers, and the Geneva-based Watches and Jewelry team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the jewelry product development manager in daily operational and administrative activities
- Coordinate the collections, organization, and archiving of technical documentation, samples, and prototypes
- Coordinate product testing with external laboratories and monitor results
- Collaborate with the Geneva team to support their operational requests
- Participate in quality control phases and document outcomes
- Update project trackers and development timelines
- Prepare materials and documentation for technical meetings
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or courses in Design, Fashion, Materials Knowledge, Jewelry Making, or related fields
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Basic knowledge of materials used in jewelry (precious metals, gemstones, manufacturing techniques)
- Good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- Familiarity with PLM systems or project management tools (preferred)
LANGUAGES
- Italian: native or fluent
- English: Very good (written and spoken) B2

- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail

- Strong motivation to learn and grow within the luxury industry

EXPERIENCE
- 0–2 years of experience in similar roles or internships within the fashion, luxury, or jewelry sector (preferred)
- Previous experience in product development or supply chain (preferred but not essential)

Starting base salary equal to €27,000 (full-time). Once the successful candidate is selected, the salary offer will be based on objective and gender-neutral criteria such as experience, skills, responsibilities, and location.

Contractual level: CCNL Commercio – Level 4. Temporary contract - 1 year.

Meal Vouchers: €8.65/day per worked day of at least 6 hours.
