SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER — Energy & Process Plants
On behalf of a structured industrial group operating in the engineering and manufacture of engineered-to-order equipment for power, process and cogeneration plants, we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer ready to take genuine technical ownership of complex, international projects.
THE ROLE You are the end-to-end technical reference for the project. Working closely alongside the Project Manager, you own the full technical life cycle of the equipment — from analysis of client specifications through to performance testing. This is technical ownership, not pure execution: you are the point of synthesis between client, suppliers and internal engineering.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Technical project coordination and direct client interface on engineering matters
- Analysis of client specifications and project documentation; drafting of equipment technical specifications
- Lead and participate in HAZOP, PIM, P&ID and 3D model reviews, FAT and performance tests
- Technical follow-up of suppliers and management of vendor documentation
- Support the PM on contractual matters with technical content
THE PROFILE
- Degree in Mechanical, Energy or Chemical Engineering
- 5–7+ years in Project Engineering roles within project-driven (engineered-to-order) environments
- Background in thermal / pressure equipment — e.g. boilers, steam generators, HRSG, industrial furnaces, pressure vessels or engineered-to-order thermal plants
- Preferred sectors: power generation, EPC, oil & gas, petrochemical, waste-to-energy, biomass, hydrogen
- Working knowledge of construction codes such as PED, ASME, EN 12952/12953
- Strong technical English, written and spoken
WHY IT'S WORTH A LOOK Real ownership of complex, high-engineering-content projects, direct exposure to leading EPCs and end-users in the energy & process sector, and a growth path towards Lead Project Engineer and Project Engineering Manager roles.
