A Production Operator (Operatore di Produzione) is responsible for operating machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently. They follow production schedules, monitor machine performance, inspect finished products, and ensure compliance with company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and maintain production machinery and equipment.
- Assemble, package, or process products according to production specifications.
- Perform routine quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions or production issues to supervisors.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workplace safety regulations.
- Record production data, machine readings, and completed work accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and basic maintenance when required.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production targets.
- Adhere to company policies, quality control procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production is an advantage but not always required.
- Ability to operate production equipment after training.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, or overtime when needed.
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and time management skills.
