About the role
We are an international company in the food technology sector located in Vicenza area, and we are specializing in the design and supply of advanced processing plants for liquid food applications.
We are growing rapidly and wish to strengthen our Engineering Department with an experienced Technical Manager with both operational and managerial responsibilities for 9 employees. You will report directly to the Managing Director and will play a key role in defining and driving the company’s technical strategy in close cooperation with the total Management team.
As Technical Manager you will act as the main technical reference for plant design activities, ensuring efficient execution, high technical standards, and full alignment with the objectives of our international organization.
This while managing and coordinating the engineering team with focus on developing and mentoring the team members for professional growth and continuous improvement in a collaborative and productive working environment.
Besides the Managerial role your key responsibilities will, in collaboration with Project Management, Sales, and After‑Sales, include;

Lead and actively contribute to plant design (pasteurization, heat exchange, product treatment, CIP)

Perform and validate essential engineering calculations (heat transfer, piping/component sizing, mass & energy balances, verification of hygienic design and food-grade compliance)

Review and approve complete P&IDs, ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance

Support R&D activities for the development of new machines and innovative technological solutions

Contribute to the standardization of technical solutions and documentation
Required Qualifications
We expect you to have a degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Food Engineering or related fields and solid proven experience (min. 5–8 years) in the design of food or process plants, ideally within the liquid food sector.
You probably have some management experience - perhaps in a minor management role such as team-leader and is now keen to develop your management skills to a higher level.
We expect you to have:

Strong operational expertise within liquid processing plant design, including heat transfer & thermodynamic calculations, piping and component sizing, reading and developing complex P&IDs and hygienic design and applicable standards

Proficiency in CAD (2D/3D), engineering calculation tools, and simulation software

Fluent in written and spoken English
