About the Role
As our Junior IT Workplace Administrator in the Milan Office, you will be the heartbeat of technical support for our Milan office and a vital member of the Regional EMEA IT Workplace team. This is a unique opportunity to support a diverse and adventurous internal user base across various environments, ranging from corporate offices to remote camps, hotels, and even river boats. This role will have a regional focus and provide support across the EMEA region.
You will provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line support, ensuring that our team members can focus on delivering world-class travel experiences with minimal technical disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Support & Incident Management: Manage and resolve support queries via the IT service desk, phone, email, Teams, and in-person. You will act as the first point of contact and escalate complex issues within the Global IT Team to ensure timely resolutions.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Coordinate with local teams to manage the full lifecycle of employee accounts, including hardware and software provisioning for new starters and secure offboarding for leavers.
- Asset Management: Maintain rigorous asset and user lists. You will manage the lifecycle of hardware assets according to company guidelines, including procurement and decommissioning.
- System Maintenance: Ensure all user equipment is properly maintained through regular hardware servicing and software patching/updates.
- Collaboration & Projects: Assist the Global IT Infrastructure team with regional projects and system upgrades. Proactively recommend technology improvements to keep the company efficient and competitive.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical documentation for the internal IT team, as well as user-friendly Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training guides for staff.
- System Monitoring: Proactively monitor key systems to identify and mitigate potential issues before they impact the business.
- Support existing AKTG properties, as well as other regional properties such as river boats.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential Skills:
- Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Windows OS and the Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
- Mobile Management: Experience using and managing iOS and Android devices
- Communication: Fluent in English (both written and spoken) with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Operational Excellence: Strong ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
