Job Description:
The AW169 Sales Engineer Specialist is responsible for Customer requirement assessment, technical proposal and capabilities presentation for the purpose of making an offer, whatever is the maturity phase of both requirement and business opportunity. In particular, the Sales Engineer:
Respond to RfI/RfQ/RfP’s and prepare technical documentation to be used in the Bids & Proposal Process in support of International Sales (Civil) and Campaigns (Military).
Coordinate and integrate the technical offer package supporting Bid&Proposal, Pricing and Sales Managers on one side and interfacing with Engineering and Program Managers on the other side to build up the feasibility of new solutions for non-standard configurations.
Support the negotiation with the Customer when required, evaluating any technical deviation with respect to the original Proposal.
Support Sales units, during the pre-bid phase, with product specific information, performance, configuration and competitive analysis, influencing customer requirements and promoting the LH value proposition.
Define and maintain the commercial standard configuration (within the Commercial Configurator tool).
Promote the LH Selling Standards guiding the Customer towards this objective during pre-bid, bid and negotiation phases.
Support the preparation of the Product Marketing Plan and/or Business Case analyzing the new requirements from tenders and providing indications about the market urgent needs.
Collect the product roadmap initiative and share internally with the reference unit
Analyze and compare the performance and capability of the assigned platform with the specific weight class competitor
Degree in Engineering (preferably aeronautical) or STEM
Excellent/Good proficiency in English (written and spoken)
Excellent/Good computer skills (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
Interest in aeronautical technologies and rotorcrafts operational requirements and technical aspects
Strong ability to build collaborative working relationships with multiple stakeholders
Capability to handle multi-tasks and priorities under pressure
Ready for a dynamic scenario and to travel with short information and long range with potential long period abroad; preferably autonomous in moving (car owner)
Understanding of helicopter systems, operational requirements and operations
Knowledge and understanding of complex organization processes and internal organization
Experience with customers and speaking in public
Good\Advanced level knowledge of Powerpoint / editing programs, and have the ability to produce high impact presentations / well organized documentation
Accuracy and focus in preparing documentation that may become contractual commitment (Contract Technical Annexes)

How does the selection process work?
