THE ROLE
You will be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to support IIT research activity.
The Center for Nano Science and Technology (CNST) is coordinated by Annamaria Petrozza and hosts the activities of 4 Research Units, each of them led by a Principal Investigator: Advanced Materials for Optoelectronics, Printed and Molecular Electronics, Nanomaterials for Energy, and Lifescience and Vectorial Nano Imaging.
The research activity at CNST is supported by a Technical Team and within such team, your main responsibilities will be:
- Technical supervision and management of wet processing laboratories, which include gloveboxes, fumehoods, printers, basic materials characterization instruments and chemical wastes.
- Management of external technical services.
- Training of laboratories users.
- Management of communal consumables.
- Management of interactions with Offices at the Genoa Headquarters.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- A master’s or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or similar discipline
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Strong attitude towards Health&Safety best practices
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong focus on stakeholder needs and expectations
- Collaborative attitude within the Technical Team, with colleagues in the Administrative Office and the Research groups based at CNST
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Working experience in a wet laboratory
- Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
- Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
- Possess analytical reasoning skills and a growth mindset
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
- A yearly gross salary ranging between 29,000 Euros and 34,000 Euros+ bonus
- Private health care coverage
- Candidate holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree who have not been resident in Italy in the last 3 years and move back to Italy to start any work activity, and meet specific requirements, can benefit from a 50% deduction on their income.
