Role: Manager Data Scientist
We are looking for a Data Science Manager who combines strong hands-on expertise with strategic leadership.
This is not a traditional people-management role: you will operate primarily as a senior individual contributor, while acting as the data science lead on high-impact, cross-functional initiatives. You will own complex projects end-to-end, partnering with business and technology stakeholders to turn data into measurable business impact.
You will play a pivotal role in bridging business challenges and advanced analytics, shaping how data science is applied across the organization and elevating both its impact and maturity.
What you will do:

Lead data science projects from problem framing to production deployment

Make key decisions on methodology, trade-offs, and technical direction

Develop and deploy machine learning and AI models to drive customer value and operational efficiency

Act as Data Lead on strategic initiatives, and serve as the go-to data science expert on critical, cross-functional programs

Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical problems

Drive alignment between stakeholders and ensure delivery of tangible, measurable outcomes

Stay deeply hands-on

Apply advanced analytics techniques in complex, multi-source and big data environments

Promote high standards in code quality, reproducibility, and model governance

Support adoption of responsible and ethical AI practices

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists

Foster a culture of ownership, pragmatism, and continuous improvement

Partner with business stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities

Communicate complex analytical insights in a clear, compelling, and actionable way

Drive data adoption and data-driven decision making across the organization
Your profile:

Almeno 4 years of experience in data science or advanced analytics roles
-
Proven ability to own projects end-to-end in production environments
-
Strong track record of working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments

Natural ownership mindset: you don’t just build models—you drive impact

Machine learning (supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised)
-
Statistical modeling and experimentation
-
Advanced proficiency in: Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.), SQL, and/or R
-
Productionization and collaboration with engineering teams

Solid understanding of Data pipelines and large-scale data processing
-
Experience with version control (Git)

Ability to connect data work to real business outcomes and KPIs
-
Experience interacting with stakeholders and influencing decisions

Capability to identify and prioritize high-value use cases
-
Experience leading projects or initiatives, even without direct reports

Experience mentoring or coaching other data scientists

Fluency in English and Italian is required
What we offer:
For employees covered by the Private Radio and Television Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL), compensation starts from €51,000 gross per year.
