THE ROLE
We design and manufacture high-performance optical systems for ground-based and space applications, operating in highly regulated and technology-intensive environments. Quality is a strategic pillar of our work, ensuring reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement across products, processes, and documentation.
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Quality Department and work closely with the Quality Manager and Process Owners. The selected candidate will contribute to maintaining and improving the Quality Management System in compliance with UNI EN 9100:2018, supporting product and process conformity while fostering a strong culture of quality, prevention, and continuous improvement across the organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality system and process activities, including:
Promotion of a Quality, Reliability, and Prevention culture through internal training and awareness initiatives
Maintenance and updating of Quality Management System documentation (Quality Manual, procedures, work instructions, checklists, forms) in compliance with UNI EN 9100 and related processes
Support to the effective application and continuous improvement of the QMS
Contribution to risk analysis, evaluation, and formalization for company processes using recognized methodologies (e.g. FMEA, Risk-Based Thinking)
Monitoring, analysis, and periodic reporting of Quality and Delivery KPIs (On-Quality, On-Time Delivery), supporting corrective actions where required
Identification, coordination, and monitoring of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
Planning, execution, and support of internal system audits and supplier audits, including management of non-conformities
Support to non-conformity analysis using structured problem-solving tools (e.g. 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Whys)
Promotion and support of Lean methodologies and 5S principles to improve and optimize production and operational processes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical or scientific disciplines
3–5 years of experience in similar Quality Assurance roles, preferably in Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, or High-Tech environments
Solid knowledge of UNI EN 9100 and ISO 9001 standards
Familiarity with risk management methodologies (e.g. FMEA, Risk-Based Thinking)
Experience with internal audits, supplier audits, and CAPA management
Structured, analytical, and detail-oriented approach
Strong teamwork attitude and ability to interact with cross-functional stakeholders
Good proficiency in English
