Techfem is an independent multidisciplinary engineering, project management and testing company specializing in high value-added services for the plant engineering sectors for the production, transformation, storage, transportation and distribution of energy fluids.
For the strengthening of the Plants & Pipeline Process Services B.U., we are looking for a Pre-Commissioning Project Engineer / Supervisor.
The resource, reporting to the Pre-Commissioning Project / Operation Manager, will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all offshore pipeline (sealine) pre-commissioning activities.
Main Activities:
- Preparation of Method Statements (MoS) for pre-commissioning activities such as flooding, cleaning, gauging, pigging, hydrotesting, dewatering, drying, nitrogen services, chemical injection, MEG/TEG swabbing;
Preparation of lifting plans including lifting studies, load charts, and rigging configurations;
Development of equipment and material mobilization plans (test cabins, compressors, pumps, filtration units, temporary process and utility networks);
Preparation of logistics plans and worksite layout drawings;
Planning of execution schedules, manpower allocation, and shift rotation;
Coordination of interfaces with Contractor/Client (SIMOPS, deck operations, utilities, installation activities);
Technical coordination with subcontractors and vendors (e.g. nitrogen services, chemical suppliers, hose providers);
Review and verification of subcontractor documentation (procedures, MoS, lifting plans);
Verification of equipment certification, calibration status, and readiness for mobilization;
Participation in HAZID, HIRA and risk assessment activities;
Supervision of offshore and onshore pre-commissioning operations (flooding, pigging, hydrotesting, dewatering, drying, chemical injection, TEG swabbing);
Supervision of installation, testing, and operation of pre-commissioning equipment (pumps, compressors, dryers, filtration systems);
Monitoring of operational parameters (pressure, flow rate, temperature, chemical injection rates) and data logging;
Coordination of operational team (operators and technicians) and interface with client representatives;
Conducting toolbox talks and ensuring compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) system;
Preparation of daily operational reports and final pre-commissioning dossiers;
Troubleshooting and technical support during operations;
Ensuring compliance with HSE requirements and international safety standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Energy or equivalent);
Availability to travel and work offshore;
Good knowledge of MS Office package;
Teamworking attitude and strong organizational skills;
Problem solving, proactivity and ability to work under pressure complete the profile.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pipeline/sealine pre-commissioning activities;
Proven experience in preparation of technical documentation (MoS, lifting plans, procedures);
Good knowledge of offshore operations and related interfaces;
Familiarity with pre-commissioning equipment (pumps, compressors, air dryers, injection skids);
Good knowledge of English language;
Experience in offshore Oil & Gas projects;
Valid offshore certifications (e.g. BOSIET, HUET);
Experience in managing international subcontractors.
Work Location:
Onshore and offshore, with missions in Italy and abroad.
