We are seeking a Mechanical Standard Manager with strong technical and managerial experience in Tissue Converting machinery to lead and continuously improve the mechanical standardization of standard machine platforms.
This role ensures technical continuity, supports the lifecycle management of standard mechanical solutions, coordinates the mechanical technical office, and acts as a key reference for complex technical issues, product evolution, engineering data management, and cross-functional alignment.
The position requires solid mechanical expertise, strong knowledge of industrial machinery, practical problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work effectively with engineering, production, product management, purchasing, service, and international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Standard Ownership
Act as the technical owner of the mechanical standards for Tissue Converting machinery.
Maintain and evolve standard machine platforms, mechanical architectures, modules, assemblies, and technical rules.
Support the definition and consolidation of standard configurations, options, product structures, and machine layouts.
Ensure standard governance through technical documentation, engineering rules, change control, and communication of updates.
Promote product simplification, modularity, standardization, cost reduction, and design-to-manufacturing principles.
Product Lifecycle & Continuous Improvement
Manage the mechanical lifecycle of standard Tissue Converting machines and related modules.
Support phase-in and phase-out activities for components, assemblies, technical solutions, and standard machine configurations.
Identify improvement opportunities based on field experience, production feedback, service feedback, and engineering needs.
Contribute to the evolution, maintenance, and optimization of standard mechanical solutions.
Ensure that standard platforms remain robust, manufacturable, maintainable, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives.
Technical Office Coordination
Coordinate the activities of the mechanical technical office, ensuring priorities, deadlines, and technical quality are respected.
Support workload planning and ensure efficient execution of engineering activities.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members.
Support the team in solving technical issues and defining appropriate engineering solutions.
Promote collaboration, accountability, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team.
Engineering Systems & Data Management
Ensure proper use and continuous improvement of key company systems such as NX, Teamcenter, SAP, and related engineering tools.
Support the management of product structures, BOMs, item coding, technical documentation, and engineering data.
Promote data consistency between engineering, production, purchasing, and business systems.
Contribute to the improvement of internal engineering processes and digital workflows.
Support correct management of technical documentation and product information required for standard machine platforms.
Advanced Troubleshooting & Technical Support
Act as a senior technical reference for complex mechanical issues on standard Tissue Converting machines.
Support troubleshooting activities with a practical and solution-oriented approach.
Perform root cause analysis, propose corrective and preventive actions, and ensure lessons learned are reflected in standards and best practices.
Contribute to reducing downtime, engineering rework, recurring technical issues, and operational inefficiencies.
Support production, commissioning, service, and customer-related technical activities when required.
Cross-Functional & International Coordination
Collaborate with automation, electrical, fluidics, product management, production, purchasing, quality, service, and other technical departments.
Coordinate mechanical standardization projects at global level.
Interact with international stakeholders, including engineering teams, production sites, product groups, suppliers, and internal customers.
Ensure alignment between local operational needs and global standardization strategies.
Communicate technical decisions clearly through design reviews, technical meetings, workshops, and standard rollout activities.
Knowledge Management & Standard Documentation
Preserve and transfer critical mechanical know-how within the organization.
Promote standard work methods, technical guidelines, lessons learned, and engineering best practices.
Ensure technical knowledge is properly documented and made available to engineering teams and other relevant stakeholders.
Support the development of documentation useful for production, service, technical offices, and global engineering teams.
Contribute to building a structured and sustainable knowledge base for Tissue Converting standard machines.
Required Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background.
Proven experience in mechanical design, product engineering, technical office coordination, or standard machine platform management.
Strong expertise in industrial machinery, ideally within the Tissue Converting sector or similar environments.
Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
Solid background in mechanical design processes, machine structures, assemblies, BOM management, and technical documentation.
Experience with NX, Teamcenter, SAP, or similar CAD / PLM / ERP systems.
Experience in coordinating technical teams or complex cross-functional engineering activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform structured root cause analysis and drive improvements.
Ability to manage priorities, deadlines, technical complexity, and multiple stakeholders.
Good communication skills and ability to work in an international and cross-functional environment.
