We are looking for a candidate to join the Research & Development (R&D) team as a Hardware Engineer, supporting the analysis, design, and validation of electronic boards and systems. SECO S.p.A., for its headquarters in Arezzo, is looking for a Hardware Engineer who will be responsible for defining technical specifications and overseeing the complete lifecycle of electronic designs.
The role will be part of the team responsible for the following activities:
Analysis of customer requirements and definition of technical specifications
Component selection focusing on cost-efficiency and performance
Schematic design and support during the PCB placement and routing phases
Prototype bring-up and subsequent complete hardware validation
Requirements:
Degree in Electronic Engineering
Excellent knowledge of analog and digital electronics
Excellent knowledge of laboratory measurement instrumentation
Good knowledge of design suites such as Mentor Xpedition, Cadence Orcad, or similar CAD tools
Good knowledge of technical English, both written and spoken
Knowledge of the main peripheral buses used in the PC field (PCIe, Ethernet, SATA, USB, etc.)
The following will be considered a plus:
Experience with microprocessor systems (x86 or ARM) and FPGAs
Knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI/ESD) issues
Knowledge of routing and PCB design challenges
