IRCCS San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, Italy, is looking for a young, motivated Scientist to join the Neuroimmunology unit. The project aims at dissecting molecular pathways regulating the retromer complex in cells. Leveraging on molecular tools we developed in the last 3 years (namely molecular chaperones that stabilize and reinforce the retromer functionality as well as Crispr-cas9-medaited KO of retromer subunits) we aim at studying the impact of retromer of the endolysosomal homeostasis. In particular, we plan to study the impact of such modulation in cells overexpress proteins that are prone to aggregate.
Main activities:
working on in vitro models of protein aggregation
working with iPSCs-derived Motor Neurons from neurological patients expressing mutant forms of SOD1 & TARDBP
Who is the candidate we are looking for?
A young scientist in possess of master’s degree in biology/biotechnology with the following skills:
molecular biology
tissue cultures & cell biology
Work details:
- Type of contract: Collaboration (Co.Co.Co.);
- Duration: 12 months
- Place of work: IRCCS San Raffaele Hospital, Via Olgettina, number 60 - Milan (Italy)
