The Role
Carlo Ratti Associati is hiring an International Business Development Associate to join our team in Turin. We are looking for a proactive and driven professional with an architectural background, excellent communication skills, and strong strategic thinking.
This role is central to expanding CRA’s international presence, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the studio’s growth worldwide.
Key Responsabilities
- Define and implement strategies to strengthen CRA’s presence in existing markets and expand into new ones.
- Develop and nurture relationships with international clients and stakeholders—initially supported by the BD Manager, with the goal of achieving independence in client management.
- Identify and coordinate with strategic partners for participation in international competitions.
- Prepare, review, and optimize proposals and ensure seamless handover to the design team.
- Draft strategic and conceptual documents that communicate CRA’s vision and positioning.
- Generate reports using CRM data to illustrate activities and performance of the Business Development and Strategy teams.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 1–2 years of experience in international business development within the architecture or design sector.
Skills
- Native English speaker (spoken and written).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in engaging international clients.
- Interest in marketing and strategic positioning.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects with a high degree of autonomy.
Software
- Excellent command of Excel.
- Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
- HubSpot (knowledge is a plus).
- 3D modelling software (knowledge is a plus).
For this role you must have a EU working permit or a valid work authorization in the European Union.
