Role Overview
A cross-functional junior role sitting at the intersection of operations, project management, and commercial support. The Junior Operations Specialist will help coordinate client projects and streamline internal processes, gaining end-to-end visibility into how a growing fintech operates from the inside - a unique opportunity to gain exposure to both client-facing growth work and internal operational processes within the finance industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution: Support the implementation of new client projects by managing operational activities, gathering and documenting requirements, and ensuring timely delivery and collaboration with internal teams.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing contact with clients during project setup and execution, ensuring clarity on timelines, deliverables, and feedback loops.
- Business Development Support: Assist the Business Development team with research, preparation of client materials, and follow-up activities related to ongoing or prospective partnerships.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Liaise with internal teams (Product, Research, Engineering, and Operations) to ensure project milestones are met and any blockers are promptly resolved.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the optimization of internal workflows, documentation standards, and reporting tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure information is properly tracked in project management tools.
- Research: Assist with market benchmark and research potential prospects, preparing background briefs and use-cases.
Requirements
- A recent graduate or current student (business, finance, economics, or related field preferred - but not required).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Strong communicator (written & verbal) with good interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
- Eager to learn and grow across both commercial and analytical areas.
- Knowledge of basic financial concepts and how financial markets work.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Bonus Points
- Prior exposure (academic or professional) to fintech, banking, or consulting environments.
- Comfortable working with structured data and spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets).
- Genuine curiosity for financial markets, alternative data, or quantitative research.
