Pirola Corporate Finance S.p.A., a strategic financial advisory firm specialising in providing consultancy services for corporate finance transactions, is seeking undergraduates and recent graduates for an internship at its Milan office.
Role and activities
The successful candidates, who will join the Valuation & Financial Modelling team and be mentored by more experienced colleagues, will support the team in drafting business and financial plans and carrying out quantitative valuations of companies, business units and intangible assets (e.g. trademarks, customer lists, patents, know-how).
In particular:
Analysis and reclassification of financial statements
Calculation of key financial ratios
Analysis of forward-looking financial and balance sheet data
Preparation of cash flow statements
Analysis of the target company’s business model
Analysis of the target market for the subject of the valuation
Preliminary analyses to support the application of valuation methods commonly used for companies, business units and intangible assets
Identification of comparable companies to those being valued
Extraction of input data for the discount rate to be applied in the valuation analysis
Calculation and analysis of market and transaction multiples.
What we offer
The internship is remunerated with a monthly allowance of €800

What we look for
A recently completed Master’s degree in economics (preferably with a specialisation in corporate finance) or students who have only their dissertation left to discuss
Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office suite)
Excellent command of English.
The ideal candidate will also possess a strong ability to work as part of a team, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
