Job Description
yhangry is hiring a private chef to cook for English-speaking guests at villa and holiday rentals along the Amalfi Coast this summer.
Bookings are concentrated in Positano, Ravello, Praiano, and Maiori, running July through September. Guests are predominantly UK, US, Canadian, and Australian travellers on week-long or longer stays who want fresh, high-quality food at the villa rather than eating out every evening.
Responsibilities
- Cook daily meals for villa guests (breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner) based on agreed menus
- Build menus around fresh, local Campanian ingredients, including seafood, buffalo mozzarella, local citrus, and seasonal produce
- Source groceries from local markets and suppliers
- Cater to dietary requirements and allergies
- Leave the kitchen clean and fully stocked after every service
- Maintain a professional, warm, and discreet presence throughout
Requirements
- Must be based on or near the Amalfi Coast
- Proven experience as a private chef or in high-end hospitality
- Strong knowledge of Southern Italian and Mediterranean cuisine
- Comfortable cooking for international guests and communicating clearly in English
- Physically comfortable working across the Coast’s hilly terrain
- Reliable, organised, and professional
