About Us: Sassyclassy is a fast-growing online shop for women's fashion based in Munich, Germany. To oversee, manage, and expand our production activities in the heart of the European textile industry, we are looking for a dedicated and well-connected local Product Manager Textiles (m/f/d) for a permanent, full-time position directly on-site in Prato, Italy, starting as soon as possible.
In this key position, you will not be working from a desk, but exactly where the goods are made: directly on-site with our partner factories.
Your Responsibilities: On-Site at the Pulse of Our Production
As our local Product Manager (m/f/d) in Prato, you will serve as our direct link to our Italian production partners. You will accompany the entire process from the initial design handover to final approval directly within the factories.
On-Site Management of Production Partners: You will regularly be present at our textile and production partners in Prato, consistently implementing our specifications, and managing ongoing production to ensure timely manufacturing.
Sample Development & Technical Implementation: You will lead and monitor sample development (protos, pre-production, photo, and shipment samples) directly at the production sites, ensuring smooth product-technical implementation within the schedule (Critical Path).
Quality Management & Fit: You will inspect workmanship quality, make fit corrections directly on-site, check outer fabrics and trims before production starts, and grant the final production approval (sealing).
Supplier Acquisition & Network Maintenance: Since you are at home in Prato, you will leverage your existing network to acquire new, high-performing suppliers and production partners, building long-term partnerships.
Interface Function & Documentation: You will create and maintain technical documentation (Tech Packs including size charts) in English, conduct risk assessments, and communicate daily as the interface between our headquarters and local factories.
Cost Engineering: You will support price negotiations by analyzing cost-saving potentials in manufacturing techniques directly with the manufacturers.
Your Profile: At Home in Prato and Highly Connected
Local Roots & Network: You live in Prato or the surrounding area, know the local textile and production landscape inside out, and bring an existing, reliable network of local textile manufacturers, weavers, or finishing companies.
Education & Experience: A successfully completed degree in Textile Management / Clothing Technology or a comparable qualification, alongside sound professional experience in product management or technical product development within the textile industry.
Hands-on Mentality & On-Site Presence: You enjoy working agily and are mobile, enabling you to inspect quality and processes daily "on the spot" at our suppliers.
Technical Competence: Proficiency in MS Office programs, as well as a deep understanding of fabric-specific properties and grading.
Language Skills: Fluent in Italian for daily, business-level communication with local partners, and very good English skills for alignment with our headquarters.
What We Offer:
A responsible position of trust where you will significantly and directly influence the quality and success of our collections on-site.
Short decision-making paths and close, collaborative teamwork with the design and purchasing teams at our headquarters.
Have we sparked your interest? Then we look forward to receiving your comprehensive application documents (preferably in English), stating your earliest possible start date and salary expectations.
