As we expand TikTok Shop in the region, we are looking for a passionate and strategic Business Development Manager to accelerate adoption and success of TikTok Shop Ads within our top enterprise and mid-market accounts.
About the Role
As a Business Development Manager (BDM) will support advertisers in multiple industries meeting their marketing objectives and providing best in class customer service to clients. The BDM is the main point of contact with strategic cross-functional teams such as Product and Measurement and is responsible for driving product adoption and revenue by negotiating and optimizing complex campaigns, using data and analytics to build a consultative solution for our customers and agencies. Success in this position requires a focus on client service, the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, and the ability to provide custom solutions for advertisers leveraging our unique ad product suite.
Responsibilities
- Drive education on product, company updates and share company best practices as relevant to client or agencies' business;
- Manage and grow post-sale client relationships of auction ads offerings by monitor and analyze ad campaigns, and proactively take initiative to improve results;
- Proficient in campaign management, setting up and optimization. Analyze campaign performance data to offer clients data-driven business insights and at the same time, use those insights to improve our advertising offerings;
- Consistently present new ad products and strategies for a set of clients across different objectives (Branding, Commerce, Lead Generation and/or App Events);
- Conduct regular business reviews and take a consultative, long-term approach to build productive relationships with clients;
- Investigate and work directly with product & engineering teams to help them troubleshoot client issues during a campaign;
- Establish long-term relationship with key clients and make sure their business needs are taken good care of by cross-functional team;
- Product and go-to-market strategy: Responsible for improvement of product feature adoption and consistently drive the product improvement from market feedback.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in account sales/account management/client services roles in digital marketing;
- Experience in managing accounts with Branding and/or Performance goals;
- Experience managing performance advertisers with a deep understanding of their challenges;
- Ability to analyze data and identify insights to assess campaign performance;
- English proficiency is required because the role involves frequent communication with global teams and stakeholders across global markets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with commerce or marketplace platforms.
- Experience in selling or managing performance-based ad products.
- Strong analytical skills and familiarity with auction-based media buying.
- Self-starter mindset with adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, marketing, analytics).
