A Production Operator (Operatore di Produzione) is responsible for operating machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently. They follow production schedules, monitor machine performance, perform quality checks, and help maintain a clean and organized workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and manufacturing equipment according to established procedures.
- Assemble, package, or process products based on production requirements.
- Monitor machines during operation and report any malfunctions or abnormalities.
- Perform routine quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
- Record production data, including quantities produced and any defects.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with machine setup, cleaning, and basic maintenance.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production targets.
- Handle raw materials and finished products safely.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production is an advantage but not always required.
- Ability to operate machinery after appropriate training.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, or overtime if required.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with manufacturing equipment and production processes.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
- Ability to read basic work instructions and production documents.
- Forklift certification is an advantage (where applicable).
