Open position: Data Engineer – Data Integration & Data Masking
Location : Rome/Milan / Hybrid / Remote Contract : Permanent (Metalworking National Collective Bargaining Agreement)
We are looking for a Data Engineer with experience in Data Integration and a good understanding of Data Masking issues, to support the design, development and management of data integration flows in enterprise contexts.
The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with Data Architects, Data Analysts, and security specialists to ensure effective, secure, and scalable management of corporate data.
Responsibility :
- Design, develop, and maintain complex data integration pipelines, both in on-premise and cloud environments.
- Use Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica Cloud Data Integration (IICS) technologies to implement ETL/ELT processes.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather technical and functional requirements for data integration flows.
- Apply data masking techniques (static and/or dynamic) to ensure the protection of sensitive data in different environments (development, testing, QA).
- Monitor, optimize, and ensure the performance and reliability of integration flows.
- Collaborate in defining and implementing data governance and data security policies.
- Document implemented solutions according to company best practices.
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a Data Engineer or equivalent role
- Excellent knowledge of data integration tools, in particular: Informatica PowerCenter (recent versions) and/or Informatica Cloud Data Integration (IICS)
- Knowledge of data masking techniques and tools (Informatica Data Masking or equivalent).
- Good command of SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning on RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
- Experience in data warehouse environments and ETL/ELT architectures
- Knowledge of issues related to data quality, data lineage, and data governance.
- Preferred additional skills: familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), experience with versioning tools (e.g., Git) and CICD for data pipelines, knowledge of scripting (Python, Shell), Informatica or cloud certifications.
MUST HAVE:
proven experience with PowerCenter IT and knowledge of data masking techniques
NICE TO HAVE:
proven experience in IT Data Masking
To be included in data integration projects with potential connection to Data Security issues with the exception of obfuscation and/or masking.
Furthermore, the colleague will be given the opportunity to expand her skills in Application Integration and Data Access, and Management of the Informatica Cloud platform.
