Human Resources Manager Italy & Spain
You're the person senior leaders turn to when the organisation needs to grow, change, or raise its game. Not just to run HR processes — but to bring structure, judgement, and challenge to the people agenda. At Yokogawa, HR has a genuine seat at the table, and this role is built for someone who knows how to use it.
The role
As HR Business Partner you are the senior HR presence in your scope countries, Italy and Spain - a strategic advisor to leadership and a credible partner across the business. You set the direction for local HR, translate Yokogawa Europe's strategy into concrete action, and take ownership of the full people agenda: from organisational effectiveness and talent development to compliance, change management, and day-to-day advisory.
You work closely with the European Talent Acquisition CoE, acting as the local bridge between hiring managers and the recruitment process — providing business context, supporting role briefings, and ensuring hiring decisions land well on the ground.
You also lead and develop the local HR function, setting priorities, maintaining quality, and creating the conditions for your team to do their best work.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary HR advisor to country leadership — shaping people strategy, not just executing it
- Own and drive local HR policy across hybrid working, wellbeing, absence, and
performance — within the European framework
- Partner with the TA CoE on local hiring — providing business context, supporting hiring managers, and ensuring smooth handoffs
- Ensure full compliance with local employment law, collective agreements, and internal governance requirements
- Lead people development initiatives, succession planning, and calibration cycles in partnership with the Talent CoE
- Guide and coach managers through complex employee relations, absence, and reintegration cases
- Advise on organisational design, workforce planning, and change alongside Finance and senior leadership
- Lead, prioritise, and develop the local HR team
What you bring
You have 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong track record in senior business partner or advisory roles in a multinational or matrix environment. You're used to operating at leadership level — able to challenge, influence, and land decisions that stick.
You bring deep knowledge of local employment law and industrial relations. In Spain, that means confident command of the Estatuto de los Trabajadores, Convenios Colectivos, Comité de Empresa obligations, and Seguridad Social requirements. In Italy, you're fluent in the Codice del Lavoro, the applicable CCNL, RSU trade union dynamics, INPS and INAIL processes, TFR obligations, and the procedural rigour that Italian employment law demands.
You're fluent in Italian and English. Fluency in Spanish is a big plus, as Iberia will be part of your scope. Strategic in your thinking, grounded in your approach, and direct enough to say what needs to be said. A degree in HRM or a related field is a plus; your track record is what counts.
