About the Role
Purpose:
Act as the internal voice of the customer, ensuring a deep understanding of customer and market needs, identifying the value for the customer, and guiding engineering toward relevant, timely and reliable solutions, while ensuring that the overall product portfolio is competitive, aligned with market requirements and consistent with the company’s strategic objectives
Accountabilities, responsibilities and activities for the assigned categories:
Clear understanding of macro, regulatory, and technology trends are shaping market growth for the assigned categories
Quantify market size, growth, key segments, and pinpoint opportunity areas.
Evaluate how competitors are positioned and what best practices they follow
Uncover customer needs & create segments & personas to drive sharper decisions
Recommend key opportunities and best practices to boost competitive position of company offering including the definition of pricing, target margin, sales strategy, and the assessment of commercial risk, including analysis of market scenarios and the identification of mitigation options
Accountable for assessing the strategic fit of a specific client request, prioritizing the opportunities and deciding whether to proceed with feasibility
Accountable for defining the structure of the offer to respond to market / customer need
Supports the Project Manager and the Technical Project Leader in the definition of the project plan by setting the target cost for each module considering platform target price and expected margin
Accountable for validating that the designed product matches the user requirements specifications stated either internally (i.e., market-driven projects) or by the customer
What You Need to Be Successful
8-10 years professional experience matured in context of manufacturing, engineering and purchasing
