About the Role
We are looking for a HW Architecture Engineer / Automotive & Motorsport Team Leader to lead the definition and development of advanced electronic architectures for automotive and high‑performance motorsport applications.
The role combines technical leadership, hands‑on architectural expertise, and team management, contributing to the evolution of cutting‑edge electronic systems from concept to industrialization.
- Define hardware architectures for ECUs and complex electronic systems in automotive and motorsport applications
- Analyze system requirements and manage HW/SW functional allocation
- Define electronic design guidelines and hardware development best practices
- Technically supervise schematic design, PCB layout, and hardware validation activities
- Coordinate the automotive and motorsport hardware area from both a technical and organizational perspective
- Lead, support, and grow the hardware team through planning, mentoring, and technical guidance
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and product innovation initiatives
- Perform reliability, robustness, safety, and EMC analysis of complex electronic systems
- Collaborate closely with firmware, embedded software, mechanical, testing, and industrialization teams
- Act as a technical interface with customers, suppliers, technology partners, and production
- Support DFMEA activities, validation, and industrialization phases
- Supervise prototyping, advanced testing, and debugging activities
- Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of automotive hardware development processes and methodologies
What You Need to Be Successful
- Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in hardware development and architecture of automotive or motorsport electronic boards
- Strong background in high‑performance and high‑reliability electronic design
- Proven experience in technical leadership of complex projects and coordination of hardware teams
- Strong leadership, organizational, and people management skills
- Excellent knowledge of:
- Advanced analog and digital electronics
- Power supply systems and power management
- Automotive embedded architectures
- CAN FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet communication protocols
- Automotive EMC/EMI and system robustness
- Electronic validation and industrialization processes
- Experience in design and review of complex multilayer PCBs
- Knowledge of automotive standards and product development processes
- Proficiency with professional electronic CAD tools
- Excellent command of the English language
- Experience in high‑performance motorsport environments
- Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
- Experience with ASPICE processes
- Experience managing EMS suppliers and electronic manufacturing
- Strong mentoring skills and ability to develop junior and mid‑level engineers
- Experience in defining technical standards and company‑wide processes
- Proven aptitude for technical leadership in dynamic, fast‑paced, and high‑pressure environments
