Full-Stack Engineer — Backend & Infrastructure focus
About the Role
At Intus.AI, we are developing Virtual Clone (ViC), a cutting-edge platform that transforms medical scans into interactive 3D models to support surgical planning and clinical decision-making. As a Full-Stack Developer, you will play a key role in building and evolving our web-based platform, ensuring that it is robust, scalable, and ready to meet the demanding standards of healthcare technology.
This is more than just software development: you will work closely with AI engineers, imaging experts, clinicians, and regulatory specialists to create a product that not only works in real-world surgical environments but is also developed in compliance with medical device certification frameworks (MDR, FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304).
Stack you'll work with
- Backend — Python, Django + DRF, Django Channels (WebSockets), PostgreSQL, Redis, distributed task queue, JWT auth
- Infrastructure & DevOps — Docker + Compose, Nginx (reverse proxy + TLS), ASGI / WSGI Python servers, GitHub Actions (CI/CD deploys), Linux server operations
- Frontend — Vue.js with modern state management and component library, WebGL 3D rendering, DICOM viewing, i18n, Cornerstone
- Observability — structured logging, separated audit channel, error monitoring service
What you'll work on
REST + WebSocket APIs · async pipelines for compute-heavy work · security & compliance hardening (auth, rate-limiting, audit logging, sensitive-data handling) · infrastructure (reverse-proxy config, container orchestration, CI/CD, TLS / domain operations, rollbacks) · observability and performance investigation · database work (migrations, query tuning, concurrency) · some frontend work for new backend features.
Must-have
- Professional Python experience on a production web framework
- Strong SQL on PostgreSQL — non-trivial queries, indexes, EXPLAIN, isolation / transactions
- Docker fluency — debug containers, write Dockerfiles, modify compose files
- Linux server operations — SSH, log triage, reverse-proxy config reading
- Solid HTTP / REST / auth knowledge (cookies, CORS, CSRF, tokens)
- Git fluency including reading diffs to onboard on unfamiliar code
- Open to frontend work when needed
Nice to have
Distributed task queue at production scale · advanced Nginx (rate limits, custom logs, ACME) · CI/CD authoring · production security work (pentest remediation, CSP, OWASP, secure cookies) · WebSockets / real-time · regulated-industry background (healthcare, finance, etc.) · modern Vue · DB connection pooling · bare-metal Linux operations
What We Offer
- A chance to build a platform that will be used in real surgical planning and operating rooms.
- A dynamic environment combining AI, medicine, and regulatory compliance.
- Direct involvement in research, clinical validation, and project development.
- Growth opportunities in a fast-scaling medtech startup with international ambition.
