Supplier Quality Management Engineer
About the Role
Job Purpose
You will be a part of Bridgestone’s planning, organizing, directing, and reporting on supplier provided raw materials as an output of their process, designed/manufactured goods, and packaging materials to ensure they meet or exceed requirements set by our cross functional team including technical area, manufacturing, procurement, plants, and plant processing and engineering groups.
Please note that the position is offered under a fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities:
Verify and validate that suppliers and/or subcontractors have received engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
Monitoring quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities, as well as an output of their process capabilities at their facilities impacting our raw material products.
Ensuring programs are in place to improve supplier performance and productivity
Reviewing and analyzing corrective action reports to reduce/eliminate defects. May perform deviation investigations into quality issues.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Education, Master, other certification:
Bachelor of Art or Bachelor of Science
BS in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics Field preferred
ISO or IATF Lead auditor certification preferred with preference to VDA certification.
Experience (years):
1-5 years in quality, science and engineering, or manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills:
Auditing capability
Quality tools education, problem solving methodology
Manufacturing experience in process and/or materials
Languages Skills:
Must: Italian & English proficient requirements. Other languages also recognized.
Soft/Behavioral Skills:
Team collaboration & Cross Functional Partnership
Fast learner with adaptability
Strong verbal & written communication
Relationship building & supplier engagement
Salary range: € 37601.10 - 44500
The salary range is based on gender-neutral criteria: applicable CCNL requirements, responsibilities, working conditions and market benchmarks for the role and location. Final compensation will be determined based on gender-neutral criteria: experience, skills, and internal equity.
