Job Title: Solar Energy Consultant

Position Summary:
As a Solar Energy Consultant, you will be the face of our company. You will educate potential clients on the financial and environmental benefits of solar energy, design customized solar solutions, and guide them through the sales process from initial contact to contract signing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, door-to-door canvassing, referrals, and follow-ups on company-provided leads.
- Client Consultation: Conduct in-home or virtual site assessments to evaluate energy usage and roof viability.
- System Design & Quoting: Utilize software to design solar panel layouts and prepare accurate, competitive quotes and proposals.
- Financial Analysis: Explain financing options, tax credits, rebates, and Return on Investment (ROI) to clients.
- Education: Act as a subject matter expert on solar technology, net metering, and local utility policies.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Closing: Drive sales to meet or exceed monthly quotas and revenue targets.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales (Solar, Roofing, or Home Improvement preferred, but not required).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, relatable terms.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a competitive drive.
- Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Uncapped Commission Structure (Average OTE: $80,000 - $150,000+).
