Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cans Decorator & Back End Team Leader to oversee the decoration and back-end production processes of beverage cans. This role involves leading a team to ensure efficient operation, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards.
Job Responsibilities**
- Lead and supervise a team of Cans Decorators and Back End operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of can decorating equipment (e.g., printers, coaters, ovens).
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to decoration quality, color accuracy, and registration.
- Manage the back-end production process, including can necking, flanging, beading, and quality inspection.
- Ensure all production activities comply with established safety protocols, quality standards, and production schedules.
- Implement and enforce lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular quality checks and address any non-conformances promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, quality assurance) to optimize production flow.
- Maintain accurate production records and generate reports on key performance indicators.
- Participate in hiring, training, and development of team members.
Job Qualifications**
- Proven experience in can manufacturing, specifically with decoration and back-end processes.
- Previous experience in a team leadership or supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of can decorating technologies (e.g., dry offset printing, coating applications).
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and tools relevant to can production.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Italian is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
