As an Application Engineer – Machine Tools, you will be part of the Technical support team contributing to support OEM customers across Italy in designing, optimizing, and commissioning advanced CNC applications.
Your day-to-day activities will include maximizing the value of our Machine Tools portfolio (e.g. CNC systems, drives, and digital solutions) across the full lifecycle - from digital design and simulation to shopfloor commissioning - acting as a trusted technical partner for both customers and the sales organization, and contributing to the growth and competitiveness of our OEM customers.
- Providing technical support and developing CNC applications based on customer requirements and machine specifications
- Delivering technical presentations, demos, and customer trainings on CNC and machine tool solutions
- Analyzing machining processes and translating customer needs into optimized CNC configurations and architectures
- Performing parameterization, testing, and commissioning of machine tools
- Supporting the sales organization in defining technical solutions and contributing to business development with OEMs
- Troubleshooting complex issues and providing after-sales support to ensure high machine performance and availability
- Contributing to continuous improvement through feedback, documentation, and knowledge sharing
Core Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering
- At least 5 years’ experience in CNC and PLC programming, motion control, and automation systems
- Passion for CNC, machine tools, and industrial manufacturing technologies
- Availability to travel at national level (and occasionally internationally)
- Strong customer orientation;
- Team spirit and ability to manage multiple technical topics in parallel
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Digital and growth mindset
- Proficiency in English and Italian

- Experience with high-level programming languages (e.g. C, C++/Qt, C#, ST)

The pay range for this position is €58000–€70000 annually. The actual offer will be determined within this range, based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
