About the Role
Olbia is surrounded by some of Sardinia’s most distinctive architecture, hospitality destinations, and luxury residences. At David Moscoso Design Studio SRL, we translate that setting into thoughtful interiors that combine elegance, functionality, and a strong sense of place.
We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer who can take ownership of high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial interior projects. You will guide projects from the first creative concept through technical development, supplier coordination, installation, and final delivery.
This is not simply a decorative design position. You will be expected to understand how people use a space, how materials perform, how budgets affect design decisions, and how every element contributes to the final experience.
Why Work With Us
The Environment: Our studio is based in Olbia, with access to residential, hospitality, and property development projects throughout Sardinia and the Costa Smeralda area. You will work in an environment shaped by architecture, craftsmanship, natural materials, and Mediterranean design.
Creative Ownership: Senior designers are trusted to develop strong concepts, present ideas directly to clients, and influence important project decisions.
Varied Projects: Our portfolio may include private villas, luxury apartments, boutique hotels, restaurants, offices, and premium retail environments.
Professional Collaboration: You will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, furniture manufacturers, lighting specialists, artisans, and property owners.
Career Development: You will have opportunities to expand your project portfolio, strengthen your leadership experience, and contribute to the studio’s design standards and creative direction.
Key Responsibilities
Concept Development: Create interior design concepts that reflect the client brief, architectural context, budget, and intended user experience.
Space Planning: Produce functional layouts that improve circulation, comfort, usability, and visual balance.
Design Documentation: Prepare mood boards, material palettes, furniture layouts, lighting plans, elevations, specifications, and detailed design presentations.
Material and Furniture Selection: Select appropriate finishes, fixtures, furniture, fabrics, lighting, artwork, and decorative elements for each project.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and specialist consultants to ensure that design requirements are understood and delivered correctly.
Client Presentations: Present concepts, design recommendations, materials, and project updates clearly and professionally.
Budget Awareness: Support cost planning, review supplier quotations, recommend suitable alternatives, and help maintain the approved project budget.
Site Supervision: Attend site inspections, monitor design implementation, identify quality concerns, and coordinate necessary design adjustments.
Supplier Management: Communicate with furniture manufacturers, material suppliers, craftspeople, and installation teams regarding specifications, samples, production, and delivery schedules.
Team Support: Mentor junior designers, review their work, and provide practical feedback that improves the quality and consistency of project output.
Quality Control: Ensure that completed spaces reflect the approved design concept, technical specifications, and quality expectations of the studio.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: At least 6 years of professional experience in interior design, interior architecture, hospitality design, or luxury residential design.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating completed residential, hospitality, commercial, or premium interior projects. The portfolio should show concept development, technical understanding, and finished results.
Education: A degree or professional qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Spatial Design, or a related discipline.
Technical Skills: Strong ability in space planning, materials selection, furniture specification, lighting coordination, technical documentation, and construction detailing.
Software: Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD and proficiency in relevant design and visualization software such as SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, Archicad, 3ds Max, Enscape, or similar platforms.
Project Knowledge: A practical understanding of construction processes, joinery, finishes, furniture production, lighting, and on-site installation.
Leadership: Experience reviewing design work, supporting junior colleagues, coordinating suppliers, or leading sections of complex projects.
Communication Skills: Strong presentation, negotiation, organization, and client management abilities.
Language Skills: Professional Italian is required. English is strongly preferred for international clients, suppliers, and project documentation.
Mindset: You are creative but commercially aware. You understand when to protect the integrity of a design and when to offer realistic alternatives based on budget, timing, availability, or technical limitations.
