If you are an experienced Welding Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow your career, you are in the right place. We are looking for an Operations Welding Engineer who will coordinate and support all welding-related activities within our manufacturing operations in Lugagnano Val d’Arda.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role where you will work closely with production teams, quality, and engineering to ensure welding processes are compliant, efficient, and aligned with customer requirements. You will be involved in both daily operational topics and problem-solving activities, contributing to a critical and highly specialized area of our business.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Coordinate and support daily welding activities, ensuring compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Analyze customer orders and select appropriate welding procedures (WPS), supporting PQR development when needed.
• Work closely with operators to ensure correct execution of welding processes and material usage.
• Review production plans and ensure availability of consumables and resources.
• Manage welding consumables (selection, ordering, and proper use).
• Identify and resolve welding-related non-conformities, ensuring corrective actions.
• Prepare working instructions and ensure documentation and traceability.
• Support operator qualifications (WPQ/WOPQ) and certification continuity.
• Collaborate with Quality on inspections and support audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and HSEQ standards.
Who You Are:
You are a hands-on and adaptable engineer who enjoys working close to operations and solving real-time challenges. You are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a dynamic environment, balancing technical requirements with production needs while effectively communicating with operators and stakeholders to drive solutions.
For This Role, You Will Need:
• Welding certification (IWE / IWT / IWI / IWS or equivalent)
• Degree in Engineering or a technical field is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in welding, manufacturing, or similar environments.
• Good knowledge of welding processes, materials, and standards.
• Experience with WPS/PQR and quality requirements.
• Ability to manage non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Italian fluency and a minimumof B1-B2 in English
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
• Exposure to testing activities (e.g. cryogenic or similar).
• Experience in procedure development related to welding.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing (valves, pressure equipment, or similar).
• Flexibility to develop additional certifications if needed.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is 35000 & 65000 EUR annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
This role is covered by the Industria Metalmeccanica Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which defines the applicable compensation structure and progression ( CCNL Metalmeccanici — Assolombarda )
