The role is responsible for the technical development and coordination of Bumpers – Exterior Trim components within vehicle development projects and for achieving the assigned technical.

Coordination of a work team involved in the development of Bumpers – Exterior Trim systems within vehicle development projects.

Control and monitoring of timing, costs and quality of development activities.

Management of the work team and coordination with component and system suppliers.

Technical interface and management of customer-related topics within the scope of responsibility.

Achievement of project technical objectives relevant to the assigned development perimeter.

Management of escalation activities related to critical technical issues, including definition and proposal of solutions.

Coordination and alignment with other involved internal departments.

Promotion and representation of the Organizational Unit’s technical activities within the company and towards Group Brands
Key requirements
-
At least 5 years of experience in the automotive sector.
-
Knowledge of Mounting System components, including bumpers, front-end, exterior trim and mouldings, underbody parts, fuel filler etc. (guidelines, best practices, costs and timing).

Knowledge of production technologies and tooling lead times (plastic molding, foam molding, composites, welding, surface treatments).

Knowledge of materials technologies and material characteristics.

Ability to translate technical requirements and targets into economic constraints and to convert geometric constraints into feasible process solutions.

Knowledge of physical phenomena affecting component performance and of the relevant points of attention to be monitored. 1

Experience with development and design processes (design review, robust design, FMEA).

Ability to organize and coordinate teamwork according to project needs.

Problem solving capability, synthesis skills, priority management and ability to handle critical situations.

Ability to act as an interface between own team and other involved teams.

Experience in supplier management at component and system level.

Decision making capability and leadership in technical contexts.

Ability to work on multiple topics while ensuring compliance with quality requirements and project timing. Negotiation skills.
Preferential requirements

Technical drawing and CAD modeling (CAD processes, basic knowledge of CATIA V5 or NX-Unigraphics and data release systems).

Knowledge of OEM quality standards, processes and development dynamics.

Knowledge of legislative, homologation and rating constraints.

Knowledge of component verification methods and procedures (e.g. testing specifications).

Ability to transfer technical methodology and know‑how within the project team and across department teams.
Education: Technical high school diploma (Diploma in technical subjects).
Language skills: Fluent knowledge of written and spoken Italian and English(Mandatory) are required. Knowledge of German would be appreciated
