Project Engineer
We are looking for a young Process/Project Engineer willing to join our Reheating Furnaces Team in one of our strategic and leading product lines. The candidate will have to coordinate together with the project manager the technical relationship with the customer, to find the best design and compromise in terms of savings and compliance with the contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan the engineering activities for process and participate in the overall project planning and scheduling.
- Participate to the Kick-of-Meeting and other technical meetings with the client, if required.
- Coordinate the flow of the technical information between engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, automation, etc.).
- Material and thermal balance development with internal excel reference spreadsheets
- Safety analysis of designed installations.
- P&ID’s and Functional Description development.
- Commercial equipment (pumps, fans, heat exchangers, etc.) and Instrument (control and on-off valves, manual valves, process instruments, etc.) selection.
- Package unit technical specifications development and selection (scrubbers, evaporators, filtration units, etc.).
- Layout studies and technical specifications development for mechanical equipment involved in process (burners, hydrogen and oxygen distribution, etc.).
- Technical specifications, selection and follow-up of structural, mechanical and piping engineering outsourced.
- Function and HMI pages description development for automation with relevant follow-up.
- Tackle and solve with the client / partners and the Site all the design and operative problems, relying upon specialist support.
- Elaborate/control, in compliance with contractual conditions, the technical specification and bill of materials to be sent to Purchase/ production.
- Co‐operate with the project manager in the activities of search, selection and qualification of supplier.
- Verify with the project manager the monthly progress of the project, assuring the implementation of any corrective action that may be needed.
- Training of client’s personnel, commissioning and process parameters tuning of the process systems at site up to final acceptance.

For the position, the starting gross annual salary will be from € 35.000, with the final offer determined based on the candidate’s seniority, experience, and skills, as well as the outcome of the selection process.
