Location: Ecosmic Office in Turin, 3 days of remote work allowed per week
Type: Full-time
Monthly allowance: €800
Start date: September 2026
Application deadline: 5 July 2026
Ecosmic is on a mission to reduce threat exposure into space by building software for Space Situational Awareness.
We are a high-tech, data-driven space startup, bringing together an international team of engineers and computer scientists. We move fast, think deeply, and care about building things that matter.
We are looking for a Finance & Strategy Intern to join our team in Turin and get hands-on with the financial engine of a fast-moving space startup.
As our Finance & Strategy Intern, you won’t be confined to a single task or function. You'll sit at the centre of how Ecosmic operates, from keeping the books accurate to building the financial models and analyses we share with investors and helping to shape the financial decisions that move Ecosmic forward. You'll get real ownership from day one and see how every part of the business fits together. We believe in giving people meaningful responsibility from the start, allowing them to learn quickly and enjoy a front-row seat in one of the most exciting industries on the planet.
Financial Planning & Strategic Finance: build financial projections for the months ahead, evaluate the financial impact of potential investments, and actively analyse and manage cash flow.
Fundraising: prepare materials, join investor meetings, and keep our documentation and investor database up to date.
Investor Relations & Reporting: support the preparation of our monthly investor reports, including updating company financials and the monthly deck.
Operations & Accounting: maintain the company's accounting records and keep financials up to date, collect and register invoices, monitor incoming payments, and manage the relationship with our external accountants.
A bit of everything else: work doesn't always fit in neat boxes. One week, you might be putting together pricing estimates for a client; the next, you're investigating a new market or digging into a specific problem that lands on the team's desk.
We are not looking for a specific background or level of experience. Ideally, you are:
Currently studying or recently graduated in finance, economics, management, management engineering, or a related field.
Passionate about startups and finance.
Sharp with numbers and comfortable with Excel.
Curious, proactive, and happy to take ownership.
Organised and reliable; people can trust you to handle sensitive financial information.
Excited about space and the idea of contributing to the journey of a fast-growing startup.
A clear and effective communicator in English, both written and spoken.
Flexibility and trust: we measure people’s performance based on the objectives they achieve, rather than the hours they spend sitting at their desks.
Remote work and flexible hours: enjoy the possibility to work remotely up to 3 days per week, with a flexible starting time.
An incredible opportunity for growth: collaborate closely with passionate space engineers who will support your learning, challenge you, and help you develop valuable skills while contributing to meaningful projects as a full member of the team.
A young and international environment: join a dynamic and diverse team driven by innovation and collaboration.
A strong work-life balance culture: while we are ambitious and motivated to achieve great results together, we always prioritise our people’s health and well-being.
A monthly allowance of €800.
All applications shall be in English.
In our selection process, talent takes precedence over experience. So if you like the role and think you could be awesome at it, go ahead and apply even if you don’t comply with the requirements.
